The following displayed showcases some of my best work from the years I have attended University. With a mixture of individual and group work, varying manner, from responding to briefs, to creating my own brief, critical research in fashion, and independent projects. 

Final Major Project 

Self Love Club 

For my FMP, I wanted to combine all of my favourite aspects that I have learnt throughout my time at University, whilst working on the skills and experience needed to start my future career, predominately in marketing and social media. 

I have included my final printed and digital documents as PDF's below, to view at your pleasure and for you to find out more about Self Love Club and the concept.

Brief Summary: Self Love Club is a campaign collaborated with the mental health charity Mind. It is all about having a space where people who are struggling can feel safe and have a place to speak out, as well as working on their self-love.

BRAND FUTURES 

MENDED 

Brand Futures allowed me research all of the problems within the fashion industry and create a response to the chosen brand with a new business idea and marketing strategy. In this case, I decided to look at Missguided and the problem within this brand was that they were known to be less sustainable than other fast fashion brands due to the materials used and no recycling etc. After researching into Missguided, and further research into the problems of not being sustainable, I went into looking at the customers needs and wants, competitor analysis, and what creative ways that I can fix the problem. Which lets me introduce you to Mended by Missguided and the British Heart Foundation collaboration, which attracts current and a new target audience of whom like to buy second hand clothing. To create my business idea for Mended, I needed a clear understand of what both Missguided and the British Heart Foundation represent. Developing a buisness model canvas, and a detailed marketing plan and using other models such as the 7P marketing mix, AIDA, and Ansoffs Matrix. Followed with a social media campaign and promotion, that would follow along side street promotions. I have attached my business idea below.

Role: Marketing & Branding 

Platfform Xclusive pop up store was launched through teamwork, assigned roles and organisation, without all this it would have never worked. From firstly choosing a theme, to working with a vintage wholesaler, creating the ethos, marketing the brand and bringing the theme to life. From having my role in marketing and branding, having to help out with VM, store planning, retail operations,and event planning has helped me have an inside look into the industry. Working within the marketing and branding team allowed me to have an insight to what sort of career path I want to go into. I spent time working with the graphics team helping to design the logo, posting promotions to social media pages, creating a strong ethos and brand visual identity. Within this team, I also had roles of styling for photo shoots, creating posters and doing behind the scenes for social media. Below are some images from my research and development book.

FASHION BUYING & MERCHANDISING

OH SO SUSTAINABLE

This brief was focused in two parts. I first concentrated on the 'anchor' brand Stella McCartney by exploring its ethos, identity, customer, marketing mix, and product offering, to then find 9 additional brands with a similar concept, to put them together to create a brick & motor retail space, with a strong brand identity, that focuses on the target audience, brand product range, and price points. Focusing on Stella McCartney's sustainable wear, I was able to add in the 9 brands that would work well with both ethos and store concept. I developed Oh So Sustainable, a store based in Soho, Manhattan that is fulfilled with grooming needs, a lounging area and a cafe, while also empowering the future of fashion. Creating an assortment plan of brands, a final range plan of product and further development of the creation of my new store. Part two of the brief was to design the store itself, with a full merchandising scheme and tool kit, that would include the overall retail space design, stock guidelines, and displays.

How has Instagram influenced the fashion industry?
How has Instagram influenced the rise of  customer engagement with the fast fashion brands Zara and Topshop in the last decade?
But first let me take a selfie: How filters are affecting body image and body dysmorphia on females aged 16-29 through the use of Instagram Selfies. 

An exploration into how Instagram has had both  positive and negative influence within the fashion industry 

For year 2, I focused on fast fashion and the brands Topshop and Zara and how Instagram has had an effect with customer engagement and their buying decisions. 

Looking at how filters have had an affect on body image and body dysmorphia by researching into how filters can affect the way the you feel about yourself. Looking specifically at physiological effects and the need of having cosmetic surgery.
